Western Calligraphy Techniques : Calligraphy Stationary Tips: Part 1

The assembly line. There’s something that
I call the assembly line. And, it’s a method for creating one of a kind type greeting cards.
So, some of the inspiration, the inspiration comes from the materials. And, I really love
the Fabriano paper. I get this at my local stationers. And, here’s a box of Fabriano
cards. Ok. This is all like handmade paper, beautiful lovely luscious paper. And, starting
out with a hundred of these guys gives me all kinds of a sense of freedom. So, what
I’m going to do is show you the little method that I have for creating five cards that are
all of the same design. But, every one each one is a little bit different. So, this could
be like a set of a stationary. So, the first thing that I did in this case was to take
my black and I put a black line on every single one. So, notice how this is reminiscent of
the repeat pattern idea. Ok. So, then I had a black line on every single one. The same
idea. Then, I took my color blue and I took my beautiful fan brush and I put this big
stroke here on every one. Then, I took my little red dot maker which is this guy right
here. It goes like this. And, I used the red paint and I put a dot on every one.
