Italic Hand Calligraphy: More Lowercase Letters : Italic Hand Calligraphy: Lowercase “b”

Letter b, lower case, it’s going to be combining
that long stroke of the l, here’s an l and also the rounded stroke of an o into one letter.
So we’re going to make a little adjustment on the bottom of the b. Can you see how the
b differs from the l? So we’re going to bring that stroke down and as we knew the baseline
we’re going to lift it up. Then the second stroke is going to come in and connect. So
one, two. Don’t expect to get it the first time because making the connection here calls
for some planning. We’re overlapping in this spot of the letter. As you lift that second
stroke out of the spine, you want to be sure that you keep; like sort to go backwards here,
keep this white triangle, this is a stroke, it’s called a stem stroke that we’re going
to see another letters. We’re going to see that the bottom of some letters are at the
top of others, and that’s important that we get that hairline and we keep that nice arch
coming out.
