How to Connect Cursive Q – American Handwriting
Hi. I’m Denise. Thank you for watching my
video. Today I’m going to talk about connecting the cursive letter q with other cursive letters.
So, let’s get started. This is the letter q, so it ends here. My next letter will begin
right at the end here. So first I will connect several q’s together. q. Go up to the top
for the next one. q. Go up to the top here for the starting of the next one. Next one.
Okay? Several q’s. Now I’ll show you q connected to other letters.
There’s q-a, q-b, q-c, q-d, q-e, q-f, q-g. Notice how the q and the g look very similar,
but they loop in a different direction. The q loops to the right. The g loops to the left,
goes around this way. They also connect to the next letter from a different position.
The q kind of goes in to the straight line, then comes out. The g makes a nice fluid flow
up to the next letter. So be sure to make these different even though they look quite
similar. Here’s q-h, q-i, q-j, q-k, q-l, q-m, q-n, q-o, q-p. Q-q is up here. q-r, q-s,
q-t, q-u, q-v, q-w, q-x, q-y, q-z. And here are some words which begin with q. This is
the word quiet, q-u-i-e-t. Quilt, q-u-i-l-t. And here is the word quiz, q-u-i-z. The capital q is usually not connected to
the next letter. However, it can be because it ends over here like the l, so you may see
some people connect it like that. So you can do it either way. So that’s the letter q. Thanks for watching.
